Okay, not getting many more nominations now, so I think I will be closing that down and start tallying, keep an close eye on the website, as I will be releasing the nominees soon, and voting should start sometime tomorow.

one thing at a time teams nominations ends in 24 hours get your votes in

orion, this is the nominations stage, people nominate the teams worthy of being voted for. Then i take the top 10 nominees for each award and make polls for em. And then you can see how many votes each of the 10 nominees have. I have to do it this way because i need a way to get the teams, and I cant do that automatically because there are too many variations for computer to handle. Ie SCCC can also be South City Cab Company, SCCabCO etc, and computer wont take these as the same team. Anyway less than 2 more thans in nominations and the real fun begins!

back on topic, been tallying up the nominations with Fordman, some interesting results, but mostly what we expected Nominees will be announced in 3 days time.

we can have driver awards later anybody can think of any categories where vykos wont win? :P

what about the people without a team then :P also, i dont think the devs will have time for this kinda stuff, i mean they still got this thing called S2 to finish

Okay guys, this is just an idea. First members of the LFS community can anonymously 'nominate' a team for one or more of the following 'awards'. This nomination period will last for 3 days.

After that, the top 10 nominees for each award will be put into a poll. And then everybody can vote for the team they think deserve the award most. And the voting period will end last day of September

Okay here are the 'awards' (if you have another award idea, again post here)

Best Team Overall (the big award)
Fastest Team
Friendliest Team
Funniest Team
Best looking Team (skins, website etc)
Most helpful Team
Most Respected Team

You've probably seen this, but i'll post it again

how about 'ban the wreckers' website? where all the server admins can gather (these who wish to participate) and if you see a wrecker, you post a replay, a panel will then analyse and then give the verdict. if guilty, the appropiate punishment will be dealt out, ie. 1 week ban, 1 month ban etc. I think the mindset of these guys are 'the worst that can happen is i get banned from this server, theres plenty more around'. But if 1 wrecking stunt causes you to be banned from half the servers, they might reconsider :P

Maybe you can build something like this into CRC?

Hey, here is an idea I had, while talking with Vykos:

Maybe the devs could create some sort of a deal with a racing wheel manufacturer, eg Momo. And pack it with a copy of the LFS Demo - maybe on installation disc.

Now, anybody who spends $100+ on a wheel is likely to be a fan of racing, if not sim racing. And if they see LFS while installing the drivers etc, then it is quite likely they'll give it a shot

The other alternative is to include a copy of S1 Full, now you might say that the devs will lose 12 pounds, but you have to think of it this way, that person might never of bought the game anyway if he wasnt given it, and then you can ask, how much money does it really cost the devs to cater for that user. Maybe extra load on LFSworld? Ofcourse, if that user enjoys S1, they will likely purchase full S2, and if they dont like it, well i guess it wont have much effect on the servers then

Okay now pretend your buying a wheel, after the purchase you are likely going to look for a game to use your wheel on (unless ofcourse u bought the wheel for a game), your choices are rfactor, GTR and LFS (and nfs games and such, but we wont go into there), but if you have a copy of LFS already, then why not try that?

Another possible option might be simply include the demo, but with a discount coupon for full purchases.

Anyway just ideas, so dont flame me if its bad
